Mrs Omobola, who spoke at an event organised by the Chartered
Institute of Bankers of Nigeria said using the e-commerce platform could
help generate over 10 billion Naira for the country in the next three
years.
At the moment Nigeria’s e-commerce system is one of the fastest growing systems in the world, with vast opportunities available for investors to tap into.
“We are looking at an industry that will be about a 10 billion dollar industry within the next two to three years.
“Even at 10 billion dollars, we are just scratching the surface. What is really going to drive this industry is the capacity for the low income Nigerians to make payment on this infrastructure at little or no cost,” she said.
