…Sacked Ag gov vows to appeal judgement

Sacked acting Gov­ernor of Adamawa State, Umar Fin­tiri, has vowed to challenge the judgment of the Federal High Court, which ordered his removal from office.
Speaking through his coun­sel, Chief Bayo Ojo (SAN), the sacked acting governor said he disagreed with the reasoning of Justice Adeniyi Ademola in his judgment, adding that the former deputy governor actually resigned through his two purported letters of resignation to the speaker of the state House of Assembly and the former governor, respectively.
Ojo, a former attorney gen­eral of the federation said: “I can confirm that we have the instruction of our client, the acting governor of Ad­amawa State, to appeal the said judgement and we have immediately filed the appeal. We have in addition filed a motion for stay of the orders of the court pending the ap­peal
