Jonathan Made Me Leave PDP – Oyinlola

The former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has blamed his exit from the party to All Progressives Congress (APC) on President Goodluck Jonathan.
Speaking with newsmen in his country home at Osogbo yesterday, Oyinlola attributed the President’s lackadaisical attitude to his plight to lack of political will to act decisively on urgent issues.
His words: “President Jonathan does not want to see my face, he should be held responsible for my exit”.
He observed that it was apparent that some people like the President does not want to see his face in the party adding that there was no need staying where one is not wanted.
On his choice of APC, Oyinlola said that of all the parties, APC is the most formidable party that can take over from PDP that is already heading for the rocks.
Oyinlola also blamed the President for his role in the efforts to rescue the Chibok girls saying the girls would have been rescued if the President had acted fast enough.
He also faulted the President’s handling of the Book Haram issue saying what the President is doing is just placing the cart before the horse adding that what is required is intelligent actions that will expose those behind the insurgence.
The former PDP chieftain had at the Tuesday mega rally for the re-election of Governor Rauf Aregbesola charged Yoruba indigenes not to cast their votes for the PDP and its candidates come Saturday, August 9.
Oyinlola listed several reasons why the people must not vote for PDP among which is what he termed the deceit of the party by its leaders and the total sidelining of Yoruba in national scheme of things under the PDP government.
Oyinlola said that President Goodluck Jonathan deceived the former President Olusegun Obasanjo to get his backing to become the President in 2011 election.
Describing the PDP in Osun as an empty shell, Oyinlola said those who have not left the PDP for APC have left for the Labour Party.
