Speaking to the sporting press after training at the Mainbowl of the Abuja National Stadium, the Israeli-based Nigerian international assured that the players are now mentally strong to confront the visiting Falcons, pleading that all they need is support from Nigerians.
His words: “The encouraging spirit in camp shows that we have overcome the Sudan disappointment. We have taken this game like professionals because we know what is at stake.
“We are aware that it is not going to be easy on Wednesday but we will go extra mile to restore the confidence Nigerians have in us.We are happy that our leaders like the Minister and the NFF president came to support us because it will push us to perform more.
“It is also the same when players see supporters around. They would want to perform more. I just want to plead with all Nigerians to forget the result in Sudan, come out and support us. This is not time to criticize us but to encourage and show us that they still have confidence in us.
“Yes, we are strong mentally because the ups and downs of the game will always be there. Form can fall and rise but class remains the same. This is not the time to write us off because we are a good team. As I said earlier, they should come and support not to bow us,” he pleaded.
