The Falcons got off to the perfect start as they went ahead inside the opening five minutes, thanks to a close range finish from Ngozi Okobi after being teed up by Oparanozie.
Three minutes later, the lead was doubled, as another good set-piece from Ngozi Eebre picked Ohale Osinachi, who headed into the far corner for the second goal.
Edwin Okon’s side continued to dominate after scoring their second and increased their advantage in the 25th minute, as Oparanozie converted from the penalty spot, after a Zambian defender was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.
Zambia should have pulled one back in the 33rd minute, Captain Kabange, pounced on some sloppy Nigerian defender before placing her effort wide with only Precious Dede to beat.
The Falcons task was made easier five minutes before the halftime break, as Grace Zulu was shown her second yellow card in the half for a late challenge on Oparanozie.
The scored would have been a lot worse but for some fine goalkeeping from the Zambia shot-stopper, who thwarted Asisat Oshoala on a couple of occasions.
The second half continued in the same fashion as the first, with the Falcons seeing most of the ball.
Okon’s side eventually added a fourth in the 66th minute, as Oshoala rose highest to head home into the far corner for her first of the campaign.
Oparanozie then got her second and the team’s fourth in the 82nd minute, as she latched onto a through-ball before slotting under the Zambian goalkeeper.
Perpetua Nkwocha rounded off the scoring in the 85th minute, the striker showed good skill to beat her marker before curling one into the top corner.
