IBB varsity elevates 6 academic staff

The Governing Council of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, Niger State has elevated six senior lecturers of the institution to the positions of professors and readers.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Ibrahim Adamu Kolo, who disclosed this to journalists in Minna said the decision was taken at the 27th Regular Meeting of the council held recently. Those promoted, according to him, include: Drs Mohammed Yakubu Auna, Mohammed Tajordeen Mustapha and George Eweniyi now Professors of Soil Science, Science Education and Guidance and Counseling respectively.
The newly elevated Readers include Drs Mrs Eniola Olorunsanya, (Agricultural Economics), Mrs. Roseline Bukoye (Counselling Psychology) and Victor Egwemi (Political Science).
Similarly, the council approved the renewal of the tenure of Registrar of the university, Mallam Samaila Muhammad, the university Bursar, Mallam Muhammad Dalhatu Suleyman as well as the university Librarian, Alhaji Mohammed Bashir Suleiman for another four years.
The vice chancellor further announced that the appointment of Prof Samuel Kolo Tswanya as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) for the first term of two years and the renewal of the tenure of Professor Muhammad Yakubu Auna as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) for the last term was ratified by the council.
The council also approved the promotions of Alhaji Baba Akote and Hassan Sani Ndalima to the positions of Deputy Registrar (Information) and Deputy Registrar (Legal Services) respectively. Kolo said all the appointments would take immediate effect.
