1. ARREST OF ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (#LAGOS STATE): On 12.10.2014 at about 1:00AM upon a distress call of robbery at a house on Fola Agoro road, Police Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where one of the hoodlums - a male was arrested and one Double barrel shot gun recovered from him. Efforts to apprehend other gang members that fled the scene are being intensified. State CID Panti-Yaba is investigating.
2. ARREST OF ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (#EDO STATE): On 12.10.2014 at about 8:00PM upon a distress call of robbery at a house along Poultry road, Evbuotubu Quarters, Benin-City, Police Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where one of the hoodlums – a 25yr-old male was arrested and one (1) Sub Machine Gun and seven (7) live cartridges recovered from him. Efforts to apprehend other gang members that fled the scene are being intensified. State CID Benin-City is investigating.
3. ARREST OF ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF STOLEN PROPERTY (FCT #ABUJA): On 11.10.2014 at about 7:30PM upon a distress call of robbery at a house situated at Setraco, Gwarinpa Estate, Police Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where three male suspects were arrested and the loots recovered from them, FCT CID is investigating.
4. ARREST OF ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (#NIGER STATE): On 16.10.2014 at about 12:15PM, Police received a distress call that suspected armed robbers have barricaded a part of Kabe/Safelona road. Police Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, the hoodlums opened fire on the Police team on arrival. There was a shootout during which one of the suspects; a notorious male cross-border (Nigeria-Benin Republic) robbery kingpin was arrested after sustaining bullet injuries. One (1) locally-made pistol, five (5) live and two (2) empty cartridges, one (1) knife, One (1) cutlass and one (1) unregistered Bajaj motorcycle were recovered from the arrested suspect while other gang members fled into the bush with bullet wounds. Arrested suspect was rushed to Kabe Rural Hospital for treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival. Corpse deposited at General Hospital New Bussa mortuary for autopsy while efforts to apprehend other gang members are been intensified. State CID Minna is investigating.
5. ARREST OF ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF STOLEN ITEMS (#DELTA STATE): On 16.10.2014 at about 8:30PM Police received a distress call of robbery at Corpers’ Lodge Ovade-Oghara, Police Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where the hoodlums were met in the act. There was a shootout during which one of the hoodlums – a male was fatally injured. Items such as cash sums of money, lap-top, electronics and mobile phones earlier snatched from the Youth Corpers were recovered. Corpse deposited at the mortuary, efforts to apprehend other gang members that fled the scene are been intensified, State CID Asaba is investigating.
6. #RAPE/ARREST OF SUSPECT (#EKITI STATE): On 13.10.2014 at about 5:00PM a 19yr-old female (name withheld) of Ose Onija Farm camp, Emure Ekiti reported to the Police that one Shaibu Ojo ‘m’, aged 30yrs allegedly break into her room at about 2:00AM of same day and forcefully had canal knowledge of her. Victim was taken to the hospital for medical attention, suspect arrested and taken into custody. There is credible evidence to link the suspect with the crime, investigation ongoing at State CID Ado Ekiti.
7. DEFILEMENT/ARREST OF SUSPECT (EKITI STATE): On 17.10.2014 at about 10:00AM a Mother residing in Asin-Ekiti reported to the Police that on 16.10.2014 at about 6:00PM one Owoeye Lekan ‘m’, of the same address took her daughter - a 6yr-old girl to his room and allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of her. The victim was taken to the Hospital for medical examination, suspect arrested and taken into custody. State CID Ado Ekiti is investigating.
8. MURDER/ARREST OF SUSPECT (#EBONYI STATE): On 13.10.2014 at about 6:00PM Police received a report that one Ijeoma Onwe ‘f’ of Nkaleke village allegedly killed her husband named Nwogbaga Onwe ‘m’, aged 60 years with a cutlass at Nkaleke village. Police operatives were immediately dispatched to the scene, crime scene processed and corpse removed and deposited at the mortuary. Suspect arrested and taken into custody, State CID Abakaliki is investigating.
