Chibok: Yuguda prays for girls’ release

Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda, has joined other Nigerians in praying for the release and safe return of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls. Speaking through the Deputy Governor, Sagir Saleh, during the rounding off of prayers at the Government House, the governor lamented that parents and other relations of the abducted schoolgirls had been traumatised in the last 100 days since the abduction. He prayed that God would facilitate their release very soon.
The governor condemned in strong terms, all acts of insurgency, saying they had not brought any good to the country and its citizens since they started about five years ago. He appealed to the insurgents to drop their evil acts and join in nation building.
Yuguda, who sympathised with the families of the abducted victims and others, who had suffered one form of insurgency or the other, expressed optimism that God would intervene and bring the situation back to norma.l He assured that government would continue to do its best to protect lives and property of all law-abiding citizens
The prayer session, which was held in the executive chambers of the Government House, was led by Yahaya Tanimu and Revd. Kennedy Masau for both the Muslim and Christian faiths respectively.
