NFF election shifted

Congress holds in Abuja tomorrow
The Nigeria Foot­ball Federation Congress will hold in Abuja to­morrow without the much talked about election into the executive board of the nation’s highest football governing body as earlier scheduled.
Daily Sunsports reliably gathered that the latest de­velopment was the outcome of a meeting between the Secretary to the Federal Government, Anyim Pius Anyim, the Honourable Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo, and the warring factions of the out-going NFF board in Abuja last night.
A top official of the out-going executive board of the NFF who does not want his name in print disclosed that a new date and the modalities for the election would be decided at tomor­row’s meeting.
“The congress will hold on Tuesday (tomorrow) in Abuja instead of Warri as previously scheduled but it is not going to be an elec­tive congress” the NFF top wig disclosed”
