Is Lamin Savage a Muslim who supports the Islamic State or just an idiot who thinks the Islamic State is cool? This mainstream media report does not, of course, bother to clarify that crucial detail.

In any case, the advance of this jihad savagery on the international stage is inevitably going to appeal to the marginal, the psychopathic, the violence-inclined.
“Man denied bail over allegedly threatening to behead police officer,” by Angelo Risso, Sydney Morning Herald, September 27, 2014 (thanks to Kenneth):
A man who allegedly told a police officer he was from militant group Islamic State and threatened to behead him has been denied bail.
Police will allege 24-year-old labourer Lamin Savage, also known as Mickey Savage, made the threats against the officer*, who had apprehended him for driving while disqualified some two months earlier.
On September 24, Savage allegedly called Granville Police Station asking for the officer, who was not available. Later that day, he allegedly called the station asking for the officer once again.
When he was told that the officer was still unavailable, Savage allegedly said “tell him if I see him again, I’m gonna cut his f—— head off.”
