Jonathan’s ex-campaign co-ordinator joins APC
Ahead of the 2015 general elections, the campaign coordinator for Goodluck Jonathan in the 2011 presidential race in Zamfara State, Alhaji Lawali Amaka, and former minister of state for information, Ikira Bilbis, have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Amaka has also resigned his position as the coordinator of SURE-P in Zamfara  State, saying that the PDP in the current political dispensation has been running a ‘greedy and senseless’ administration.

During a programme attended by former vice president Atiku Abubakar, some APC governors and senators, held in Gusau, capital of Zamfara State, Bilbis said he could no longer pretend that things were normal in the country. He alleged that the leadership lacked ability to deliver set goals.

“I have decided, I can no longer be part of a leadership which its hallmark has become the inability to deliver on set objectives and failure to fashion out a course out of the many problems facing the country.”

In his address, former vice president Atiku Abubakar urged people in the country to embrace the present wind of change that is sweeping across the country.
