2015: Lawyers laud Abia PDP on zoning

Ngwa Lawyers Forum has hailed Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Part (PDP) for reportedly zoning the 2015 governorship slot to Abia South senatorial District of the state.
The forum also urged the state Governor, Chief Theodore Orji to bequeath to the coming generation, an enduring legacy by endorsing the party’s decision in line with the zoning policy of the state chapter of the party.
The forum, under the chairmanship of Dr. S.I. Erugo, in a communiqué issued at the end of its meeting described as laudable, the decision of the PDP  to zone the 2015 governorship seat to Abia South senatorial zone.
According to the lawyer, the move had received overwhelming support from Abia citizens, as according to him, the decision was not at the whim of few self-serving politicians.
The forum also restated its support for the programmes of the Orji administration.
The communiqué stated: “This, (zoning), undeniably, will help promote peace and harmony, reduce rancour and above all, distinguish His Excellency, Chief Theodore Orji (Ochendo), as the undisputed leader of Igbo race.”
The forum, however, upheld the principled stance of the Chairman, PDP Abia State, Senator Emma Nwaka and urged all dissenting voices to accept peaceably what was right, just and fair, while avoiding contending issues that might likely attract litigation.
