AFCON 2015 qualifiers: Keshi keeps self busy with Congo, S/Africa

Out of contract Super Eagles’ gaffer, Stephen Keshi has staged a dramatic return to guide the two-time African Champions in their double header qualifiers against Congo and South Africa in September.
The former Hawks of Togo handler, according to his brother and representative, Emma Ado, was prevailed upon by the Senate President, Senator David Mark and Minister of Sports to return for the crucial national team’s assignment.
Ado said despite the prevailing circumstances, the soccer tactician cannot say no to the high ranking Nigerians whom he held in high esteem.
“Keshi cannot say no to such persons. So, he has decided to heed to their calls and assist his fatherland. He is patriotic and has the country’s love at heart,” the barrister at law offered.
On the Big boss contract renewal, Ado stated that negotiations will resume after the games against Congo and South Africa.
“We hope after these games, a new board would have been put in place and we can agree on the new terms with the football house. But the present arrangement is on the patriotism basis and should not be seen as if a new deal has been brokered,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the coach is expected to arrive the country this week from his United States of America base.
The Super Eagles will open their AFCON 2015 qualifying campaign against Congo on September 6 in Calabar and will travel to Pretoria to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa a week later.
