Mikel’s Russian girlfriend Olga masters the art of Nigerian dishes as marriage looms

SUPER Eagles midfielder Mikel Obi is expected to tie the knot with his Russian girlfriend Olga Diyachenko shortly amid rumours that he proposed marriage to her last month and they are planning a lavish wedding soon.

Mikel, 27, joined Chelsea in 2006 and has now spent eight years with the club owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, a good friend of Olga’s father. Although Olga has her own lush pad in London, she is said to have moved in with Mikel and has even started mastering the art of cooking Nigerian dishes.

At the moment, Mikel is in camp with the Super Eagles in Calabar where the team is preparing for Saturday’s African Nations Cup qualifier against Congo. Word from the camp is that Mikel is officially off the market and it is only a matter of time before he walks up the aisle with his heartthrob.
