Okorocha storms Lagos

Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, is expected in Lagos on Friday, as  special guest of honour during the Hall of Fame and Investiture Award put together by the Imo State Towns Development Association, Lagos (ISTDAL), an umbrella body for all Imo indigenes resident in Lagos.
Those to be honoured include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim; Kenyan’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Tom Amolo and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji.
The event tagged: ‘Imo 2015: Hopes and expectations from Imo politicians,’ will take place at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja under the chairmanship of High Chief Cyriacus Obialor.
Other awardees include, Chief M. I. Okoro, High Chief Christopher Anyakie, Comrade Joe Ajaero, Igwe Sylvester Opara, Chief Charles Ahize, Ben Obinali and Chief Bright Edom.
According to the President General of ISTDAL, Pastor Okey Anorue, the honour was in appreciation of the awardees’ various contributions to humanity and the society in general.
Anorue pointed out that it takes encouragement and appreciation to get more from people with human feelings.
He assured that ISTDAL, being a socio cultural organisation, would always identify with those who touch lives positively in the society and hinted that more people would benefit in future awards.
The ISTADL President therefore, the priviledged in the society to always extend their magnanimity to the less priviledged.
He also stressed the need for political leaders to live up to the expectations of the people by embarking useful projects as well as making policies that would benefit the masses.
